Group Plan

Program Design:
As a Group: Based on each of our individual papers on our topic, we will all come together to choose a type of program we want to create. We will also post a short reflection to blackboard so that the assigned group member who is in charge of the reflection can create one reflection piece for the entire group.
Mike Burks: He will be focusing on part 1 (Introduction) and part 4 (Reflection) of the assignment. Based on our findings from the literature review he will discuss the background information, the audience, goals and objective, and more. Once all group members have posted their brief reflection, he will compile them together to make one reflection for the class.
Spencer Matheny: He will be one of the Co-Leaders for this assignment, so he will review each section for errors, formatting, etc., before posting to the blog. His main focus will be part 3 (Program), which is to help create a program based on the group members’ literature reviews.
Jan Miller: Her main focus will be part 2 (Rationale), which will be to identify the foundations of the program, the structure, and the framework.
Kristin Owens: She will be one of the Co-Leaders for this assignment, so she will review each section for errors, formatting, etc., before posting to the blog. Her main focus will be part 3 (Program), which is to help create a program based on the group members’ literature reviews.
Elaine Pitsas: Her main focus will be part 5 (Table), and put all of the main ideas from the assignment into the table provided on the syllabus. She will also assist with part 2 (Rationale).
Laura Smart: Her main focus will be part 2 (Rationale), which will be to identify the foundations of the program, the structure, and the framework.

Program Evaluation:
As a Group: We will all come together to choose which two professionals we would like to evaluate our program design. We will also post a short reflection to blackboard so that the assigned group member who is in charge of the reflection can create one reflection piece for the entire group. Each of us will also post our responses to the evaluators for the assigned members to compile them into one response.
Mike Burks: He will be one of the Co-Leaders for this assignment, so he will review each section for errors, formatting, etc., before posting to the blog. His main focus will be part 1 (Professionals’ Evaluation) which will be to contact one of the professionals who will be evaluating and to follow up with their response.
Spencer Matheny: His main focus will be part 2 (Students’ Responses) and to compile everyone’s response on if we agree of disagree with the evaluations and explain why or why not.
Jan Miller: She will be one of the Co-Leaders for this assignment, so she will review each section for errors, formatting, etc., before posting to the blog. Her main focus will be part 1 (Professionals’ Evaluation) which will be to contact one of the professionals who will be evaluating and to follow up with their response.
Kristin Owens: Her main focus will be part 4 (Table), and put all of the main ideas from the assignment into the table provided on the syllabus. She will also help with part 2 (Students’ Responses).
Elaine Pitsas: Her main focus will be part 2 (Students’ Responses) and to compile everyone’s response on how we would improve our design.
Laura Smart: Her main focus will be creating an introduction for the assignment and part 3 (Reflection). Once all group members have posted their brief reflection, she will compile them together to make one reflection for the entire group.

Final Demonstration:
As a Group: As a group we will all come together to decide which type of media we would like to create to present as our final demonstration. We will also post a short reflection to blackboard so that the assigned group member who is in charge of the reflection can create one reflection piece for the entire group.
Mike Burks: His main focus will be to create a table to post at the end of our assignment. This will show the main and key points of the work we have done. He will also help with the demonstration.
Spencer Matheny: His main focus will be part 1 (Summary). He will gather all of the information and processes from the semester and put them all into one piece to share with the class. He will also help with the demonstration.
Jan Miller: Her main focus will be part 3 (Reflection). Once all group members have posted their brief reflection, she will compile them together to make one reflection for the entire group. She will also help with the demonstration.
Kristin Owens: Her main focus will be part 1 (Summary). She will gather all of the information and processes from the semester and put them all into one piece to share with the class. She will also help with the demonstration.
Elaine Pitsas: She will be one of the Co-Leaders for this assignment, so she will review each section for error, formatting, etc., before posting to the blog. Her main focus will be part 2 (Demonstration) which will be to create multi-media formats to show the class how to design a program.

  1. Hello Experiential Learning Group :-)

Are you experiential or experimental learning? I noticed your blogs posts are being uploaded as Experimental Learning, but your blog title says Experiential Learning... Are they the same thing?

Anyhow, I love how detailed your group plan is. I can really tell that you guys looked ahead at each assignment and made sure to get the project plan connected to each task necessary to complete the work. This is a fantastic project plan!

If you want more space for your post content, you can use the "Adjust Widths" feature and widen the overall blog. That should give you more room for the content, and then you could make your type font in the table a bit larger too. Just a thought though... :-)

    Great job!

    Take care,
    Alexandra

  2. Hi Alexandra,

Thanks for the comment! No they are not the same thing. I tried to make my own process up! I changed the title of the blog but it seems the word Experimental is still out there :) I will work on getting it out of there! Thanks for the heads-up and the nice comments about our group plan!

  4. Your group plan looks highly detailed. How are you all communicating? Email? Phone calls? Just curious!

  5. Hi Kristin,

We did have a phone call last week to go over what we wanted our plan to look like. Otherwise, we have been communicating by email. The phone call went well and was helpful so I think the consensus was we would do that again in the future. We are lucky that two of our group members have had Dr. Chang before so they were familiar with the assignment and were able to help guide us.

    Thanks! Kristin O.
